Store credit

POS with built-in store credit

Storefront Pro keeps store credit as a balance on the customer account: issued when a buylist trade-in is accepted online or at the till, visible to staff during the sale, spendable across POS, storefront, events, and kiosk, and reportable as a liability — never a spreadsheet, a till note, or one staff member's memory.

  • Issue credit from online buylist or till trade-ins after acceptance
  • Spend credit through storefront, POS, events, and kiosk workflows
  • Configure cash and credit payout rules separately
  • Keep customer balances visible to staff at the till
  • Separate gift cards from store credit
  • Import BinderPOS or Shopify credit balances during migration

Storefront Pro tracks store credit as a balance on the customer account, issued from accepted buylist trade-ins and spendable at the POS, on the storefront, at events, and through kiosks. Cash and credit payout rates are configured separately, and existing BinderPOS or Shopify credit balances are imported during migration.
How credit moves

Trade-in value that stays attached to the customer

A customer brings in a stack of LP rares. Staff grades it, accepts the buylist, and issues credit. That credit can pay for sealed at the till, a pre-release ticket online, or an order from the storefront.

Online and till buylist

Credit is issued when a buylist submission is accepted online or at the counter, keeping payout history tied to the customer account.

Cash vs credit split

Stores can offer different cash and credit payout rules, including a stronger credit offer when that fits the shop's margin strategy.

Balance visibility

Staff can see the customer balance during the sale, so credit is not trapped in a spreadsheet or dependent on one person's memory.

Gift cards vs store credit

Gift cards are purchased value. Store credit is value you owe after trade-ins, refunds, or owner adjustments. Storefront Pro keeps them distinct in the workflow.

Owner reporting

Outstanding store credit is tracked as customer value the shop owes, so owners can review balances before close, migration, or reporting.

Migration from BinderPOS

We bring existing store credit balances across during migration. No spreadsheet amnesty day, no asking regulars to prove what the old system owed them.

At the counter

A trade-in credit flow your staff can explain

The customer does not need to understand your accounting. Staff need a clean path from intake to payout.

  • Customer sells cards online, at the till, or through a kiosk queue.
  • Staff verifies condition: NM, LP, MP, HP, or damaged.
  • Storefront Pro calculates cash and credit offers from your rules.
  • Accepted credit lands on the customer account and can spend anywhere Storefront Pro sells.
  • Refunds can return to the original payment method or store credit where your store policy allows.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does store credit expire?
That depends on your store policy and local rules. Storefront Pro keeps credit tied to the customer account so staff can manage balances consistently.
Can I cap how much credit a customer uses on one order?
Yes. Credit use is part of the store policy you define for checkout and POS workflows.
Does credit work across multiple tills?
Yes. Storefront Pro uses one customer account and one inventory system, so multiple tills see the same balance.
Can refunds go back to store credit?
Yes. Refunds can return to store credit when your policy and the original payment flow allow it.
Can customers spend credit online?
Yes. Credit belongs to the customer account, not the physical till, so it can be used on the storefront where enabled.
Do you migrate existing credit balances?
Yes. Store credit balances are part of BinderPOS and Shopify migration planning and are checked before cutover.
