Sam founded TCG Sync after two decades working inside the trading card retail ecosystem — from behind the counter at independent card shops, through marketplace integration work, to building the commerce infrastructure that 1,200+ card stores in 36 countries now run on.
The thesis behind TCG Sync is unfashionable in SaaS: card retail is its own discipline, and tools built for general ecommerce keep breaking against it. Conditions, finishes, set rotations, buylist economics, prerelease logistics, multi-marketplace pricing — none of these map cleanly onto a Shopify-style product model. After watching shop after shop hit the same walls, Sam started building the platform he wished his stores had had.

Everything is grounded in patterns observed across the platform’s 1,200+ stores rather than recycled from generic retail playbooks.
